Years 7 and 8
Students participate in:
- 2 periods of Art per week for 1 semester each year
- 2 periods of Drama per week for 1 semester each year
- 2 periods of Music per week for 1 semester each year
- 2 periods of Ceramics per week for 1 semester in 1 year
- 2 periods of Graphics per week for 1 semester in 1 year
Year 9
Students are required to participate in at least 2 units of Arts for the year. One unit (chosen from Visual Art, Drama or Music) is compulsory for a semester. Further electives may be chosen from:

Year 10
Students are required to participate in 2 Arts units over the course of the year, one of which may be a VCE subject. Students are able to take extra Arts courses as electives. Year 10 Arts subjects include:

VCE
Each study is made up of four units.
Unit 1
This unit encourages the imaginative exploration of materials, techniques and working methods, demonstrating visual solutions to set tasks and studying the ways in which the art of the past and present relates to the society for which it was created.
Unit 2
This unit focuses on the development of art works demonstrating effective working methods and studying the roles of artists and their innovative and personal involvement in art.
Units 3 and 4
In these units students present a broad and innovative body of work as they communicate ideas through experiments in one or more media. A range of approaches to interpreting art are studied and applied.
