Overview
Residential boundaries can affect whether your child can attend Lilydale High School as the school has a designated zone approved by the Department of Education and Training (DET) which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
The Find my School website is the official and most up to date source of school zone maps in Victoria. All government primary, secondary and specialist schools are on Find my School.
- Enter findmyschool.vic.gov.au into your browser
- Enter your address under ‘Enter your address to get started’
- Select the school year you are looking to enrol your child in under ‘Enrolment year’
- Select primary, secondary or specialist under ‘School type’
- The map will then show your address, your local school, and on the left the contact details for the school
- If you scroll down, it will also show you the five closest schools
You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School zones.
Year 7 Enrolment
Enrolment for Year 7 is completed through the student’s primary school when they are in Year 6. During the first half of Year 6, parents will be asked to nominate the secondary school your child wishes to attend the following year (Year 7).

Years 8 to 12
To register interest for enrolment in Years 8 to 12, families are welcome to call the school to complete an ‘Expression of Interest Enrolment Inquiry’ with the relevant Sub School (Junior, Middle, or Senior).
Enrolment enquiries will be considered based on the student’s permanent residential address. They will also depend on vacancies in the year level and subject availability.
You will be contacted by a Year Level Coordinator from the Junior, Middle or Senior School regarding availability of a place and the offer for an interview (parent/student/coordinator).
If a place is accepted an invitation to complete an Enrolment Form will be provided to finalise enrolment.
