Buses & Transport

Lilydale High School may be accessed via Maroondah Hwy and is a 5 minute walk from Lilydale Railway station. As well as public transport, we have an extensive service of School Contract Buses & Public School Buses that are available to transport students to school.

Parents/Guardians and students are reminded that when travelling on a School Contract Bus, bus passes or a Myki must be carried at all times.

• There is free travel available for students in 2026 on public buses; however, a Myki is still required and can be purchased for $5 from the Train Station.
• Public Buses are located at Lilydale Train Station.

• School public buses are a public bus service for school students only. They travel to and from Lilydale High School’s bus bays in Melba Ave.
• A Myki is required, and you do not need to apply for these services. (Free travel for students in 2026 for public buses applies in this situation)
• These services include:
  • LS – Warburton
  • S375 – Healesville
  • S377 – Coldstream
  • LH 1(3410/11), LH2(3404/3405), LH3 (3402/3403) – Kilsyth, Montrose, Mooroolbark Lilydale High School – Ventura transit
  • INV 5 (2569) – Chirnside Park
  • INV 9 (2579) – Mt Evelyn (PM only)
  • INV 11 (2658) – Mooroolbark, Lilydale (AM only)

• Contract Buses cover the Silvan, Warburton Hwy, Yarra Glen, Healesville and Badger Creek

• The student must live more than 4.8km away from Lilydale High School and attend their nearest school.
• This does not apply to students in the SEAL program.
• Students will be issued their bus pass by the school.
• Non eligible students may access this service if there is space available, after the eligible students.
• Students must carry their pass at all times.
• Students cannot have friends travel with them as contract services are for bus pass holders only.
• To apply for these buses you must fill out an application form, which is available from the main office of Lilydale High School.
• There are three bus lines:
  • Martyrs – M03, M041, M05, M06, M11, M12.
  • Mckenzies – Z15, Z16, Z17, Z18, Z19, Z20, Z21 & Z22.
  • Invicta – V25

If your child is going to be catching public transport, school bus, public bus or train, please allow them to catch it in the first few days of the school year, as we ensure there are staff available to assist the students with their bus departure locations.
