LHS Centenary Slogan
2019 is the 100th anniversary of Lilydale High School!! To help the whole school community celebrate, we need YOU to come up with a suitable slogan and have your words on the lips of the school and create a lasting legacy. PRIZES for the winning and top three entries will be awarded.
The current slogan is “Respice Lucem” which means look to the light in Latin. Our school motto is:”Excellence in learning, resilience in life, thriving in community.” Perhaps you would like to include elements of the motto in the slogan?
Today, talk about what a slogan is, what is it supposed to do? Have a go at drafting some ideas in your Writer’s Notebook.
