STUDENT WELLBEING

The Wellbeing Team at Lilydale High School is equipped to deliver short-term intervention to support students with varying concerns and to assist them in navigating external support options where required.

The Wellbeing Team consists of:

  • Kate Fisher – Mental Health Practitioner
  • Shannen Bayly – Student Counsellor
  • Candice Richards – Student Wellbeing/Careers Assistant
  • Janine Sayers – Student Wellbeing Coordinator
  • Jane Robbins – Student Wellbeing Coordinator
  • Barkley – Therapy Dog

Student resilience and wellbeing are essential for both academic and social development, and are optimised by safe, supportive and respectful learning environments.

Referrals to the Wellbeing Team are accepted from various sources including student self-referrals, parents and school staff. Once a student is referred to Student Wellbeing, we allocate the student to a team member based on their individual needs, urgency, and preference.

Short-term intervention length can vary but will usually range from 2-10 sessions with a Wellbeing Team Member. If we deem that long-term or more intensive support is required, we will refer to an external service in consultation with the student and parent (Psychologist, Counsellor, Community Service such as Headspace etc.).

How do I refer to Student Wellbeing?

Please email candice.richards@education.vic.gov.au OR studentservices@lilydalehs.vic.edu.auto be allocated to an appropriate team member.

Students can also refer via the Student Services Referral Form, located under the star in Compass.

EIS USA Basketball Tour Trivia Night Fundraiser Delights Chirnside Park Country Club

On Saturday 18 May, our EIS USA Basketball Tour team presented a Trivia Night fundraiser, where over 250 people made their way to Chirnside Park Country Club for a GREAT NIGHT!

With competition hot and only half a point separating 1st & 2nd everyone was very competitive, but were still able to relax and have some laughs along the way.

The night was fantastically hosted by Andrew Rogers as quizmaster and well supported by the 26 students attending the USA Basketball Tour, selling raffle tickets, manning the lucky dip and collating the scores off each table!

Highlight of the night was Mr Neumann winning the Toss The Coin game off a backboard shot.

A big THANK YOU you to everyone who came along and to all the donations that were received for the event! Over $11,000 was raised on the night, which is truly AMAZING!
